WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN?

Being Pentecostal means more than a label—it means we’ve experienced the same outpouring of the Holy Ghost that took place in Acts 2. Jesus had promised it in John 14, and in that Upper Room, His Spirit came just as He said it would. That moment—called the day of Pentecost—marked the birth of the New Testament church. Everything that follows in Scripture builds on that foundation. Paul and the other apostles wrote to believers who had already received this gift. Like them, we point back to Peter’s answer when asked, “What must we do to be saved?”

REPENTANCE.
We must repent (turn away from) of our sins. We do this by asking Jesus to forgive us.
Luke 24:47; II Peter 3:9; Acts 2:38
BAPTISM.
We must be water-baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins.
John 3:5; Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5
SPIRIT INFILLING.
We are promised the gift of His Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.
John 7:37-39; Acts 2:4, 2:38, 8:17-18, 9:17, 10:44-47, 19:6
